Kelly S. Zentner, MA, LPC-S
I do not consider myself the average therapist because I do not sit around and say "Hmm, tell me more". Instead, I take a very assertive style and want to make changes in your life as quickly and effectively as possible. You need to want to make changes in your life before I can truly help you. I usually give homework assignments and expect them to be done. I have recently been trained in EMDR, which is a tool that may be offered or utilized if desired. You see me for 45 min. to 1 hour, but the majority of the work is done outside of the session with the techniques and tools we discuss during our sessions. My office is located in Garden Ridge, Texas, which sounds really far but it is only 6 minutes off of 1604 behind Rolling Oaks Mall (off of Nacogdoches Rd.). Our office complex is peaceful and garden-like, which really adds to the therapy process.
I am a Christian counselor which means I use God and faith to help you heal, progress and find peace. I will not force you to believe what I believe, but I do want you to know where I come from. I have been seeing clients since 1995 and have grown from absolute no childhood interaction or education about church or Jesus to a pure love and fulfillment in my relationship with Jesus. My therapy practices and techniques have also grown and matured throughout this time. I hope that enables me to be a benefit to you during this time of need.
